• The unique cricket grounds located throughout the rural areas of the Eastern Cape i.e. The Mill Cricket Ground near Bedford located under a mountain with the clubhouse in a 100-year-old Mill. Incidentally this ground played host to a South African Country District/ Bangladesh Clash in 2002; a top class oval situated deep in the Karoo surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains on a privately owned game farm, aSante Sana; as well as a number of other stunning country grounds each with its own unique features.
• The unique rural cricket culture of the Eastern Cape.
• The Eastern Cape is an area that has produced a wealth of sports talent over the years including such legends as Danie Gerber and Graeme Pollock.
