TENNIS

Tennis is played throughout South Africa, mostly on all-weather hard surfaces. There are many clubs with top-class courts and facilities throughout the cities. Nearly all major schools play tennis, and most farming communities have tennis clubs with four or five courts with wonderful clubhouse and change room facilities.

For many small communities, tennis is a way of life and much social interaction revolves around the tennis club. The farmers are incredibly hospitable towards visitors. A tennis tour need not be restricted to any particular area of the country as tennis is played everywhere, allowing us to offer you a tour package in which you can experience all aspects of our great country.

We have two great Tennis Tour options:

The Wildlife Tennis Tour

This tour starts and ends in the historic yet modern city of Port Elizabeth and includes tennis at interesting venues and towns such as Kenton-on-Sea, Post Retief Tennis Club up in the Winterberg mountains where ex springbok front rower Gary Pagel now serves as chairman, the little town of Bedford and Wheatland’s Tennis Club on the Wheatland’s farm near Graaff-Reinet, with its clay courts surrounded by vast plains teeming with grazing Springbuck.

We have hand picked a number of active and enthusiastic tennis clubs around the Eastern Cape, with top class facilities, to ensure that you get the best out of your game.
